I LOVE and APPRECIATE my parent so much!! This past week I was nominated by one of my parents for a local flower shop called Ramon's, teacher of the week. I won this AWESOME bouquet of flower! Thank you Ramon's and thank you to my parent who support my Learnibg Laboratory & me!!
This week we are exploring pumpkins! We have done so many fun things with pumpkins! First, we made paper year pumpkins! Each learner got a pumpkin traced on a paper, they cut it out and only use their fingers to tear small pieces of orange paper to cover their pumpkins! In our reading center this week at the writing center Learners wrote their own sentences about pumpkins and illustrated them. Check out this great example! And today we did our pumpkin science experiment. We first did a pumpkin observation sheet where we estimated the number of seeds, etc. then we had some help from the Fourth Graders and some helped us write pumpkin facts of the back of our paper and some helped us clean out the inside of the pumpkin! Then, we all came back as a group and carved the face. Finally, we combined yeast, water, dish soap, hydrogen peroxide and made an oozing pumpkin! Sorry everyone! I must apologize! I have been so busy this year I am really behind and slacking on my blog! Here are some photos of what we did during our Constitution Week to celebrate we started by making our own class Constitution! I loved that they wanted to add "reading stamina" they wrote this all by themselves! So proud! Next, we made a flag to go with our constitution! I have my class the large sheet of white butcher paper small red papers and a full construction size blue paper and told my class they needed to brainstorm ideas on how to make a flag! Here is what they came up with as a group! They did so good collaborating and critical thinking! We also learned about the Liberty Bell. I printed off a clip art Liberty Bell and each learner designed their Liberty Bell and wrote their facts they learned this week. Thanks for visiting! Please comment below any great suggestions or comments! |
